The location of the cottage is remote, making it ideal for those seeking a quiet and scenic getaway. The immediate area offers interesting archaeological features and stunning views of the mountains. The cottage itself is enchanting, with modern facilities that do not compromise its charming ambiance. The property is kept spotlessly clean, and the host is exceptional in their responsiveness and attentiveness to guests' needs.
Limited options for nearby dining establishments.

The cottage itself was beautifully renovated, maintaining its original charm while still providing modern comforts. The views of the surrounding mountains and fields were simply breathtaking. The host, Lynda, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, even leaving a thoughtful welcome hamper with fresh eggs, homemade bread. The cottage was clean and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including books, games, and a children's playhouse in the garden. The location, although remote, provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Although the location is remote, we didn't mind as it added to the charm of the cottage. The mattresses in some rooms were quite firm, which may not be to everyone's preference.

We had a fantastic time at this beautiful cottage, nestled in the glorious countryside. the spotlessly clean property had modern facilities without compromising its charm. the stunning views towards the mountains and the presence of cattle and sheep added to the peaceful ambiance. the cottage was well, equipped with everything we needed, including a cozy living room, a good, sized kitchen. the thoughtful host provided a welcome hamper and basic supplies. the children's playhouse and the availability of books, games, and DVDs were a bonus.
The location required a 10, minute drive to reach nearby towns.

The property was spotlessly clean with modern facilities without altering the charm of the cottage. The setting is stunning, with views towards the mountains and with cattle and sheep in the pastures. Wifi and TV reception is good, but the sound of nature - birds, cattle and the odd bit of wind make this location very relaxing. There was a children's Wendy house in the garden, DVDs, books and games available if required. The place was beautifully decorated and the character of the cottage was maintained. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The hostess kept in touch and left me a welcome note, birthday card and cake as a treat. The outside of the building is very well maintained. We had a pleasant surprise when we came home late one night to lit up trees and an outdoor playhouse. It is a beautiful setting perfect for a peaceful retreat. There are lovely walks and viewpoints in close proximity to the building.
Felt immediately at home, no complaints.

The shower could be improved, but it didn't spoil our overall experience at the cottage.

The Whitehill Cottage was absolutely charming! The bathroom setup was a dream with not one, but two bathrooms. It was such a delight having both a relaxing bath and a refreshing shower. It made getting ready in the mornings so much easier, especially when sharing with friends. Loved it!
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the decor in one of the bathrooms. But hey, that's just my taste.

My recent stay at a beautiful cottage in the countryside was absolutely delightful. The house itself was modern and comfortable, yet still retained its original charm. The three lovely bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen, and cozy living room made me feel right at home. The host, Lynda, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, even providing a cot for my little one. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed, including books, games, and toys for the kids. The welcome hamper filled with fresh eggs, homemade breads, fruit, and biscuits was a lovely touch. The location was quiet and scenic, perfect for long walks in the lanes. I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway in the countryside.
